What is to be done, a voice declares, strong and clear, from the table behind me. I am struck with anticipation. Now we're getting to the important questions. What, indeed is to be done. And asked, or said, in a voice so certain, so calm, so definite. I know whatever ensues will also be definitive.
I listen to ten minutes of discussion about non residents and powers of attorney and transferring shares and an increasing shift towards Hinglish, into pure Hindi, back to Hinglish. That probably isn't important. Language is no barrier to meaning. But soon I hear phrases like at least three to four crores, about percentages and drafts and grafts.
It is of no use. There is nothing to be done.
